Glue
glue, noun
: something that binds or holds things together
We dream. We struggle. We love. We lose. We hope. We regret. We get scared. We get brave. We fall apart. We put ourselves back together.
And somewhere in all of it lives the strange contradiction of being human.
We know better and still do worse.
We want change and fight it.
We want to be seen and hide.
We chase tomorrow and miss today.
We hold on. We let go. Sometimes we don't know which one we're supposed to do.
We can believe two completely opposite things at the same time and mean both of them.
We can spend years searching for something only to find we already had it.
We can know exactly where a road leads and take it anyway.
And every once in a while, we stop long enough to notice. The places we've been. The places we are. And the places we're headed.
That's where The Glue Project lives.
In the everyday thoughts we don't always say out loud. The internal arguments. The contradictions. The relationships. The bad decisions and the better ones. The ridiculous moments. The heavy ones. The dreams that pull us forward and the memories that pull us back.
Sometimes there's an answer.
Sometimes there's just a really good question.
Music has a way of giving all of that somewhere to go. A song can make us move, laugh, cry, remember, question, reflect, or just sit with a thought for three minutes. It can change the mood of a room. It can change the mood inside your head.
Music is emotional glue.
It attaches itself to people, places, experiences and pieces of our lives. Years later, a few notes can bring all of it rushing back.
The Glue Project puts those stories into songs.
AI music tools have expanded our ability to express and share ideas, stories, thoughts and emotions through music. They give people new ways to turn what's in their heads, and what they're feeling, into something others can hear and experience.
This kind of storytelling didn't exist quite like this before. And that's part of the point.
Every generation found new ways to tell its stories.
Writing. Photography. Recorded sound. Film.
Each new tool changed what could be created, and who could create it.
These are some of ours.
Not because the technology is the story.
We are.
The technology just gives us another way to tell it.
The beautiful parts. The ugly parts. The funny parts. The contradictions. The struggles. The dreams. The things we're proud of and the things we'd rather forget.
Where we've been.
Where we are.
Where we're headed.
That's the stuff that binds us together.
That's the glue.
One email when there's a new record. Nothing else.
